This high-performance sidearm is much more than just another “2011-style” pistol, and is built with an emphasis on personal protection. Like all of Kimber’s pistols, the KDS9C delivers hair-splitting accuracy. This level of match-grade precision is largely thanks to Kimber’s proprietary bore sizing process, a crisp 3.5 – 4.5 lb trigger, as well as a 4-inch stainless steel bull barrel. The barrel features a 20° flush-cut deep crowning, and a series of milled, fluted slots to help the barrel cool off after prolonged firing. Accuracy is further enhanced thanks to Kimber’s fully adjustable sights composed of a serrated rear sight and high-visibility fiber optic front sight, however, an optics cut in the slide allows a micro red dot to be installed for enhanced target acquisition/engagement.
