The Daiwa Tatula CT Casting Reels are a new addition to the Tatula family now featuring an even more compact design that is easier to palm and lighter on the rod. While the profile of the reel may be smaller, the performance features remain roughly the same in the new CT model. The reels retain the TWS T-wing system which enables free flow of line off the reel providing enhanced casting distance and accuracy. You get the same 13.2lbs of Ultimate Tournament Drag, the same Air Rotation system that affords super smooth operation and effortless winding with a free spinning rotation of the handle. The main differences between the new CT model and the original are the smaller size, lighter weight and new coloration system. The Tatula CT Casting Reel is an incredibly technically sound reel constructed of high quality components not typically found in sub $150 reels. The rigid, aluminum frame provides the perfect strength and durability to house the internal components of the reel. The strength of the material ensures the reel will never bend under pressure and maintain its integrity for years of use and abuse. The gear system is much stronger increasing the cranking power immeasurably and is facilitated by the reels oversized handle and reel grips that enable the full force of the angler to be focused in the right place. No longer are you applying pressure to fight the reel, its all against the fish. Daiwa's ultimate tournament drag system applies up to 13.2lbs of drag, quite a lot for a low profile casting reel.
